This recipe was originally published as a blog post in 2012 and has had been taste-tasted since:

Hi, thanks so much for posting this easier-version and budget-friendly recipe! I just realized why spend at Starbucks when you can very much create your own. ;-) - Nowhere Girl

Try it now! Ingredients are easy to find from our local favorites such as MY San Graham (or any digestive biscuit), Oreo Crumbs, Nestle All-Purpose Cream, Alaska Condensed Milk, and some fresh banana produce.

This is posted with the permission of the original author of this homemade Banoffee Pie recipe and you are free to try it as an addition to your restaurant or coffee shop offerings.

Banoffee Pie = Banana + Toffee

Simple Ingredients

  • 300g MY San Graham or if you have plain digestive biscuits, just add 1 tsp of cocoa powder to the crust

  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 4 ripe bananas, medium-sized

  • 1 can Alaska Condensed Milk

  • 300ml Nestle All-Purpose Cream

  • 1 teaspoon coffee granules

  • Grated baking chocolate (optional)

Easy Procedure

The procedure is altered a bit from the original post to incorporate the use of kitchen equipment to make the baking time faster.

  1. Using a food processor, pulse for 30 seconds the MY San Graham or any digestive biscuit.

  2. Stir in the melted butter. Pulse again to mix with the biscuit crumbs. Transfer to a dish bowl or a pan.

  3. Using the back of a spoon, make the crust by pressing the crumbs onto the base of the round aluminum foil (you may use your preferred size for the foil).

  4. After you have transferred the rest of the crumbs to the foil containers, refrigerate for 20 minutes to set the crust.

  5. Slice the banana and scatter it on top of the crust.

  6. Pour the toffee caramel over the bananas (boiled condensed milk, toffee recipe below)

  7. Whip the cream using a hand mixer. Add the coffee as you whip.

  8. Spoon the whipped cream on top of the banana slices (artistically, if you please).

  9. Sprinkle with grated chocolates (optional) to make it more appealing and more decadent!

  10. Voila! Your tasty Banoffee Pie are ready. You may serve them straight away or store them in the fridge inside a sealed container for 3-5 days.

All-around Toffee Recipe (Boiled Condensed Milk)

  1. Place the tin of unopened condensed milk in a pan of boiling water and allow it to boil for two (2) hours. Be sure that the water level is maintained at least 3/4 of the condensed milk can all the time.

  2. Remove the tin from the boiling water. Be sure to allow it to cool enough so that you can safely touch and open it.

  3. Open the tin very carefully and stir the gooey caramel inside. This can be stored for a couple of weeks and can also be used as a topping for brownies or cakes.
